Conducts internal financial and/or system audits and risk assessments. May test and document financial and computer system records for information system integrity and transaction accuracy. Reports discrepancies. Prepares audit plans and understands the specific issues to be evaluated. Delivers internal audits within established business process controls.

Develops formal written reports to communicate audit results to management and regulatory compliance agencies, if applicable and makes recommendations as appropriate. May facilitate work of external auditors during on-site visits. May require audit knowledge and skills in finance/accounting and/or information system operations.

Conducts audits/reviews and provides data analytics to identify areas of risk and opportunity.

Provides ongoing business performance assessment, actionable insights, and drives necessary business redirection, when appropriate.

Critical Thinking:

Advises on business initiatives using data-based decision-making skills.

Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Ability to influence and operate within agile environment.

Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to take direction, learn quickly, work independently, and maintain a level of professional skepticism.



Relevant Experience:



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business or Finance.

Holds one or more relevant professional certifications.

Solid grasp of IT concepts and controls required.

7+ years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, with special focus on one or more of the following: finance, business operations, technology.
