Why this job is important
You'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and continuously improving internal controls across the Group. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help us identify and mitigate risks, promote a culture of compliance, and support operational excellence. Reporting to the Group Director of Controls, the Senior Controls Manager contributes to the control's agenda for EMEA, coordinate controls assurance activities across the Group, and provides guidance on governance, risk, and compliance matters.
What you'll be doingLead the Minimum Control Standards exercise for EMEA, acting as a key figure for all controls-related matters in the region.
Oversee Group Control activities for functions such as Group Treasury and Tax.
Assess and test the effectiveness of internal controls, documenting results and communicating gaps.
Drive the Group remediation process, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Support business units in adopting control standards and managing self-certification.
Liaise globally to share best practices and support Group projects.
Prepare governance reports and participate in ongoing quality reviews.
The skills & experience needed as Senior Internal Controls ManagerBachelor's/University degree in a relevant field.
Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA).
Significant experience in internal/external audit, risk management, or business process improvement.
Deep understanding of finance processes, risks, and controls for mid-size and listed organisations.
Expertise in internal control and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to travel as required.
