Senior International Officer

Salford, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We aim to create an inspirational, inclusive learning and working environment, celebrating the diversity of our university community. At Salford you'll have the opportunity to add value, bring new and fresh ideas to the organisation and contribute to on-going and future initiatives at the University.

So what will the role involve?

As a member of the international recruitment team, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects that support the University's goal of attracting international applicants and increasing registrations. Your role will involve building and maintaining relationships with international stakeholders to drive student enrolment and help prospective students make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities also include representing the University at events in target countries, both in-person and online, working closely with education agents and partner universities, and helping organise large-scale recruitment events, such as virtual open days, along with a variety of other activities for prospective students interested in studying at the University of Salford.

Please note that this role involves significant periods of overseas travel. Additionally, all staff within the Student Recruitment & Admissions Service are occasionally expected to work weekends and outside of normal office hours (e.g. over the Confirmation and Clearing period, Open Days etc.).

A bit about International and Regional Development...

The International and Regional Development Directorate is fundamental to the delivery of the University's internationalisation strategy and ICZ (Industry Collaboration Zones) agenda. The Directorate includes Degree Apprenticeships, UK and International Partnerships, the International Office, Salford Languages, Enterprise and the ICZ support team.

The International Office is an integrated professional services unit with expert teams dedicated to the successful delivery of the University's internationalisation agenda. The International Office supports the Academic Schools in a wide range of global engagement activities, including international recruitment for on-campus and off-campus students, managing overseas representatives and partners, working with services across the University to support the international student journey, from enquiry and application to enrolment, as well as supporting international opportunities for students and staff across the University.
