The role:

The Port of London Authority is expanding its IT Team. We are looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record in delivering complex, business-critical IT systems.


You will be self-motivated with a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills and a talent for effective communication.

Key responsibilities:

Ensure successful delivery of all project objectives within scope, time, and budget. Maintain and monitor a comprehensive project plan, outlining key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines for each work package. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including work package leads, senior management, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure effective communication and reporting on project status, risks, and issues to the Corporate Systems Manager and other stakeholders.

You will have:

At least 10 years experience of specifying, designing and implementing business systems within a complex IT environment. Ideally be educated to Degree level in an IT related discipline. Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as PRINCE2. Extensive knowledge of technical concepts such as databases, authentication, APIs, server infrastructure and networking. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
