Senior Java Software Engineer - Hybrid 2 days per month in Cardiff.

This role offers hybrid working (a mix of office, client site, and home working) and requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance.

What You'll Do

As a hands-on technical expert, you'll:

Deliver high-quality, secure software in a true DevOps environment.

Apply a software engineering mindset across provisioning, automation, and development.

Build reliable, performant services while continually improving delivery speed and quality.

Work with modern technologies, cloud platforms, and containerisation tools.

Contribute to the design and implementation of microservice-based architectures.

What You'll Bring

Strong commercial experience with Java.

Proficiency in the Spring framework (or equivalent).

Solid understanding of software design patterns and development best practice.

Hands-on experience with Docker or Kubernetes.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and a passion for clean, test-driven code.

It's a bonus if you also have:

Experience with domain-driven design, CQRS, or Event Sourcing.

Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services.

Certification in Spring or other relevant technologies.
