Senior Java Developer - 12-Month FTC (rolling with years of work available - up to 120k base.

London (On-Site 4 days per week)

Join a world-class trading and technology environment as a Senior Java Developer, working on a greenfield, high-performance Trade Capture & PnL platform. You'll be part of a small, elite team delivering mission-critical systems across all asset classes.



Tech Stack & Focus



Java 17, Spring Boot 3

Kafka for real-time streaming

Vertica & MSSQL databases

Kubernetes (on-prem orchestration)

Modern microservices architecture

Agile delivery with ownership and autonomy



What You'll Do



Contribute to a platform migrating trade capture, lifecycle and PnL from legacy tech

Build out complex lifecycle management and PnL aggregation logic

Work across asset classes, learning the nuances of financial products

Be involved in design, delivery, and support--your voice will matter from day one

Participate in a team that values autonomy, delivery, and fast decision-making



What We're Looking For



Strong experience with Java in production environments

Background in Kafka, microservices, and container orchestration

Knowledge of financial markets, ideally cross-asset

A self-starter mindset--you identify what's needed and make it happen

Comfortable working in a fluid, collaborative and fast-paced environment
