The role

UNLEASH is seeking a talented and hard-working B2B senior journalist with presenting, webinar moderating, public speaking, or broadcast experience. Reporting into our editor-in-chief, Nima Sherpa Green, you will join the EMEA editorial team.

While this is a primarily remote role, our preference is for the editorial team to have some face time together in our Southbank London office at least once a fortnight. Our current team meets every week for one-two days.

You will be responsible for creating and steering editorial content covering the EMEA and US markets. A willingness to have a strong profile on LinkedIn to help build the reach of UNLEASH is preferred. The ability to host and moderate some of our business-leading webinars and round table content - live and pre-recorded - is essential. Please provide links to any prior experience in this area or any presenting experience at conferences or in broadcast journalism.

Qualifications

• Superb writing and multimedia skills and the ability to chase down scoops and exclusives.
• Drive the news agenda, write and edit online content and raise the portfolio\'s digital and newsletter brands
• Think strategically about the content your audience needs
• Proven working experience as a journalist or reporter
• Portfolio of published articles, and presenting links/reels
• Event chairing/hosting (physical and virtual). Therefore, presenting or broadcast experience is needed
• Up-to-date knowledge of media law
• Ability to follow strict deadlines and fast-check information
• Off-diary content-gathering skills paired with strong news writing
• Excellent communication and networking skills along with an aptitude for extracting information
• Integrity and ability to work in a small but dedicated team
• Business or technology reporting experience
• Strong writing and analytical skills

Key accountabilities

• Alert editors to breaking news and be ready to file accurate, timely reports. Check and advise against coverage when necessary.
• Devise several stories a day that are valuable to UNLEASH\'s audience of vendors, C -suite HR tech procurement budget holders, learning and development, and talent acquisition specialists.
• Deliver regular exclusive stories to help distinguish UNLEASH from its competitors
• Interview senior executives, both face-to-face and over Teams/Zoom.
• Cover international conferences of the big technology vendors, including Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, and Workhuman, either digitally or face to face. This may occasionally require working outside normal office hours.
• Produce short and long-form analyses of key trends and market shifts in your area of responsibility.
• Present and/or provide a V/O for video, participate in podcasts, and chair events with appropriate training.
• Represent the brand at industry conferences and other events.
• Adherence to the UNLEASH news agenda, writing and editing online content, and raising the portfolio\'s digital and newsletter brands
• The ability to understand UNLEASH\'s audience and the issues facing them, and build a network of valuable contacts.
• Distribute stories on social media - including your own account
• Monitor the competition to ensure UNLEASH stays ahead.
