We are a friendly, forward-thinking GP surgery with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including three GPs, an ACP Clinical Lead, ANP, Paramedic Practitioner, Prescribing Lead Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician, supported by a brilliant nursing and admin team.



We use SystmOne, offer 15-minute appointments, and provide two protected GP Clinical Lead admin sessions per week to support leadership, quality improvement and mentoring (prorata) .



The practice is currently going through an exciting period of transition, with plans to implement total triage to improve patient access and streamline workflows. The Senior Lead GP plays a pivotal role in ensuring the service we provide is safe, that staff are well supervised, and the service continues to improve the quality of care for patients. Our innovative model has been designed to



+ Allow GPs to spend more time doing the tasks only they can do specific types of patients, specific clinical and non-clinical administration, specific leadership functions, and clinical supervision of ACP Clinical Leads and medics / pharmacists + Improve our ability to segment patient care in a more standardised way, and identify how best to utilise our workforce in individual surgeries and across SPC surgeries
+ - Improve our ability to recruit and retain Salaried GPs in-practice and reduce our use of Locum GPs
+ - Improve our ability to recruit and retain experienced ACP Clinical Leads to support and develop the ACP Clinical Leadership model further, and to clinically supervise and develop ACP and Non-medical prescriber staff
+ - Improve our ability to recruit and retain ACPs and ANPs to sit under the ACP Clinical Leadership model, and be more supported to develop in their ACP and ANP roles and scope of competencies
+ - Future proof the SPC model standardisation of roles, processes and systems, centralisation of roles, resilient workforce, improved stewardship of SPC finances
+ Ensure that the practice level leadership and/or management functions are covered by a clinician who is best placed to do so.

We are looking for GPs who:



+ MRCGP Qualification + - Registered on the GMC GP Register with licence to practice
+ - On an NHS National performers list (England, Wales or Northern Ireland)
+ - UK based (necessity)
+ - Applications extended to overseas Tier 2 workers seeking sponsorship with relevant skills and qualifications
+ - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ - Excellent clinical decision making skills
+ - A passion for healthcare
+ Motivated and committed to developing the knowledge and skills required for the role and for ongoing professional development
