ABOUT THE JOB



We are looking for an experienced L&D professional to cover a key role during maternity leave starting mid July 2025 until September 2026.



You'll be stepping into a pivotal role supporting our people's growth, performance, and development during an exciting period of innovation. We're seeking a seasoned Learning & Development professional to cover maternity leave, bringing energy and expertise across a wide spectrum of L&D, Talent, Early Careers, and Organisational Development activity.



This is a chance to shape learning experiences at every level, influencing strategy, embedding impactful frameworks, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Salary:

Up to 40,000, depending upon skills and experience.

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES



You'll be the go-to expert across a diverse range of learning and development initiatives, including:



Designing and delivering learning interventions aligned with strategic business priorities

Leading needs analyses and implementing continuous improvement cycles

Coordinating internal and external training, with robust evaluation frameworks

Embedding career development tools and frameworks, including our Career Toolkit

Coaching managers on effective performance management and feedback practice

Managing apprenticeship programmes and the Apprenticeship Levy, ensuring compliance and ROI

Leading L&D projects in alignment with the broader People Strategy

Overseeing budget governance and reporting

Promoting inclusive, accessible learning pathways and professional development

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS



We are looking for:



Experience and Knowledge



Proven expertise in designing inclusive, neurodiverse-friendly learning experiences

Hands-on experience with apprenticeships, graduate programmes, or professional development

Track record of delivering blended, scalable learning solutions

Strategic insight paired with operational delivery, from needs analysis to outcome evaluation

Experience guiding managers and teams through change, performance, and development conversations

An understanding of organisational talent management cycles



Skills and Abilities



Naturally collaborative, with strong coaching, facilitation, and communication skills

Adept at managing multiple workstreams and complex stakeholder needs

Tech- and data-savvy, with a focus on learning analytics and digital enablement

Passionate about creating a continuous learning culture and inspiring others to grow
