We are currently seeking an inspirational and motivational Senior Learning Support Assistant (Assessment & Intervention) with the drive, commitment and creativity to support us in providing the best possible opportunities for our pupils. This role would suit an aspirational Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant or current HLTA seeking further development and promotion. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo and the Administrative Assistant to the SENDCo.

This is a full-time, term-time, post. You will be working 37 hours per week and these hours will need to be worked flexibly depending on the school's need and could change at short notice; hours exclude a 30-minute lunch.

The successful candidate will be a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible team-player who can communicate well with staff and pupils alike. The duties and responsibilities attached to this post are as follows:undertake assessments and co-ordinate appropriate interventions work with the SENDCo in co-ordinating the school's access arrangements day-to-day management of Learning Support Assistants within the school work with the SENDCo to develop effective transition points support non-teaching time supervision e.g. duty times

Hall Green School is a very popular, heavily oversubscribed and academically successful 11-16 Converter Academy. We are a highly diverse institution, both ethnically and as a fully accessible mainstream school, attracting pupils from across the city with physical disabilities. We have wonderful pupils who fully contribute to the school's caring ethos. Likewise, staff work hard to ensure "there is always an adult on hand whom they [pupils] feel they can talk to and who will listen to them" Ofsted (2025). Founded in 1964, Hall Green began as a foundation school administered by Birmingham City Council. It converted to academy status in September 2012 but often coordinates with Birmingham City Council for admissions.



We are a popular, vibrant and successful school with a track record of high standards and successful outcomes for pupils of all backgrounds and ability.
