The School's existing portfolio of programmes incorporates on campus undergraduate and masters programmes, an online MBA and partnership provision in both the UK and overseas. We also have a small number of doctoral students. The School is also developing a suite of new cross-disciplinary masters programmes and micro-credentials. The successful candidate will lead on programmes and modules, applied research, enterprise and partnerships in Business AI and Analytics, working in collaboration with colleagues across the University.

The Role




The Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics and AI is a new post within the business school and requires proven industry experience in this subject area. Key skills required include:

Applied machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques. Design and deliver modules in AI for Business, Data-Driven Strategy, and Applied Analytics. Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and integration principles. Stakeholder management, and quality assurance. Experience in implementing AI/ML models in real-world commercial settings Familiarity using cloud and other platforms Strong data manipulation and analytical skills using Python and basic ML libraries Experience of developing business UG and PG modules in areas of data analysis, Big Data, AI applications and machine learning.


Industry subject expertise is essential for this role to engage students with real-world learning, with opportunities to teach, research and engage with areas related to analytics and generative AI for business and SMEs.


The embedding of research-led teaching to develop critical thinking, enquiry skills is fundamental, ensuring depth of knowledge transfer and understanding of the subject and related industry needs.


Additionally, the post would deliver on:

Optimisation and AI in business, applied AI in business, and evidence-based consultancy. Collaborative research, machine learning in practice, data analytics in business, visualising and analysing data. Effective data science management, extracting information from large data sets, extracting, and forecasting. Integration of human-Ai collaboration and behavioural science with AI.
