Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Purpose of the Job
The Regional Senior Legal Counsel (Europe and North America) is responsible for providing expert legal advice and strategic guidance to support the company's operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, mitigating risks, and protecting the organization's interests. This role involves managing legal disputes, drafting and negotiating contracts, and overseeing corporate governance matters while working closely with internal stakeholders and external legal partners

• Advise senior management and business units on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Monitor legal developments and assess business impact.
• Conduct legal risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (commercial, employment, vendor) aligned with company objectives and risk policies.
• Manage contract disputes and advise on resolution strategies.
• Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution; coordinate with external counsel for strategic, cost-effective outcomes.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings when needed.
• Support corporate governance, including board meetings, shareholder agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Liaise with regulators and represent the company in regulatory matters.
• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and training.
• Collaborate with internal departments (HR, Finance, Compliance, Operations) to ensure legal alignment.
• Engage with external stakeholders to protect and represent company interests.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) is required; a master's degree (LLM) or equivalent is a plus.
• 10+ years' experience in corporate law, commercial law, or regulatory compliance, preferably in a multinational corporation or top-tier law firm.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, dispute resolution, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience handling litigation, negotiations, and legal risk management.
