An exciting position has opened up within our busy nursery!

We are looking for somebody to take the next step in their career and join our team as a senior nursery practitioner.

The candidate will be required to work alongside the room leader and provide support to the team who work in the room in which you are based. Together with the room leader you will oversee the day to day running of the room ensuring it is a fun, exciting and safe environment whereby children thrive. You will be responsible for carrying out observations and assesment inline with the settings curriculum and to oversee children's development is supported through engaging activities so that we have a positive impact on children's holistic development.

You will take on the role of being a key person for at least 6 key children.

In addition to this you will work alongside the management as part of our team supporting us and coming up with new ideas and initiatives to help us drive the nursery forward. There will be progression options throughout the year as the nursery dynamics change so we are encouraging poeople to apply for this role who are looking to take on the next step in their career.

You must:
Have a minimum Level 3 recognised Childcare qualification
Have sound knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene procedures
Have a clear understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stag curriculum and be able to use this knowledge in everyday practice.
Have worked with children in a nursery setting for a minimum of 2 years after qualification.
Show a willing and can do, positive attitude
Be able to cope well under pressure
Be able to communicate effectively and delegate roles to staff members
Be confident to communicate with parents and work in professional partnership with them to ensure they are included in their childs time at nursery.

Salary is dependant on age and expereince.

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
