Conwy Library Service, based in the picturesque county of Conwy, North Wales, has ten libraries and a home and mobile library service. As Senior Librarian (East) you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and development of the Libraries in the east of the county including Abergele, Colwyn Bay and Llanrwst Area Libraries, and Uwchaled and Kinmel Bay Community Libraries.


You will lead your team ensuring training needs are identified and met, ensure team performance is regularly monitored to meet service objectives, and that all aspects of library provision in your portfolio area are managed effectively.

You will pride yourself on your customer service skills and ensure that library teams maintain a high standard of service to customers.


Working within a close-knit and dedicated team of professionals, you will use your knowledge and expertise to take the lead on all aspects of stock management for the Library Service.


As the service lead on developing reader-focussed library services, you will lead on a range of exciting partnership projects that develop the role of both libraries and reading in health, wellbeing and social isolation agendas.
