We are recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a growing business with a welcoming, family-feel environment based in Hertford!
We have recently moved to a new, purpose-built premises in Hertford that's nearly three times the size of our previous site. This marks a key milestone in our growth journey, and we're looking for someone who can take full ownership of our warehouse and stores, playing a vital role in shaping the future of our operations as we scale.
As a Senior Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator, you'll take ownership of warehouse operations, stock management, and customer logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day activity across the business. This is a hands-on role involving manual warehouse duties (picking, packing, lifting, and handling goods) alongside your coordination and stock management responsibilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a more senior role with real responsibility, supporting both our customers and our internal service department while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.

What you'll be doing
As our Senior Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator, you'll oversee and deliver the smooth running of our warehouse operations, stock processes, and customer logistics. Your key responsibilities will include:
oPerforming hands-on warehouse duties, including picking, packing, wrapping, lifting, and preparing goods for dispatch.
oLoading/unloading deliveries and ensuring stock is stored safely and organised efficiently.
oTaking responsibility for stock accuracy, including booking in goods, stock rotation, and maintaining correct stock levels across key product ranges.
oMonitoring and replenishing core inventory lines to prevent shortages and minimise aged or obsolete stock.
oManaging stock for the service/workshop team, including allocating parts for repair jobs and maintaining accurate workshop inventory.
oConducting periodic stock counts and leading investigations into any discrepancies.
oMaintaining a tidy, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.
Customer Logistics & Communication
oCoordinating customer collections and preparing orders for dispatch.
oProviding proactive updates and support to customers, including tracking details, delivery confirmations, and collection information.
oHandling returns, communicating with customers and suppliers, and ensuring credits are processed correctly.
Shipping & Documentation
oManaging UK and international shipments, including packing goods, creating shipping labels, and completing all required export and dispatch documentation.
oLiaising with couriers, freight partners, and relevant authorities (e.g., Chamber of Commerce).
oEnsuring all shipping, invoicing, and documentation processes comply with ISO9001 standards.
Cross-Department Coordination
oSupporting the service department by preparing and issuing job stock for engineers.
oMonitoring order due dates and ensuring deadlines are met for both customer orders and workshop/service requirements.
oUpdating CRM and internal systems with accurate, real-time information.
What we're looking for
o2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse coordination, operations, or a similar hands-on storeman-style role.
oStrong understanding of stock control and warehouse processes.
oComfortable with manual handling and physically active duties.
oExcellent communication skills, especially when speaking with customers.
oHighly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
oCompetent with Microsoft Office and general admin systems.
oProactive, reliable, and confident taking ownership of key responsibilities.
oDetail-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
oA positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to support the team.
