Senior Management Accountant




Our

finance team are a small, tight-knit team that support all departments within the Aerial Direct group with all things finance related. Based in our newly refurbished Fareham offices and reporting into our Financial Controller, were looking for a Senior Management Accountant to support the finance team in producing consolidated monthly accounts for all entities within the Aerial Group of companies.

This role requires a hands-on individual with solid billing knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to challenge existing processes constructively. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, driven, and continuously looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency and support business improvement.

Youll get involved in:




Support in producing monthly consolidated management accounts. Prepare monthly reports to highlight financial results, trends, and forecasts. Perform full balance sheet reconciliations. Manage prepayments and accruals processes for entities. Support on FP&A activities, including reconciliation to actuals. Oversee and reconcile all billing, ensuring profitability, accuracy of recurring charges, and reporting of variances. Manage inventory purchasing across the business, including reconciliation of stock and cost. Ensure full compliance and management of all tax obligations, including VAT, PAYE, NI, Corporation Tax, and R&D claims (This will be supported). Liaise with external auditors to support the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance. Support the finance team in developing and implementing new written policies and procedures. Produce ad hoc financial reports and reconciliations as required. Manage and develop finance team staff, ensuring performance, training, and team growth.

Ideally, youll have:




Proven experience in a similar senior management accounting role. Strong knowledge of

billing

,

FP&A

, and

month-end processes

. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience. Ability to challenge current practices constructively and drive continuous improvement. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong analytical mindset with great attention to detail. Effective communicator, able to confidently present and explain financial information. Leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).

Is there a fit? Youll have a chat with our Talent Acquisition team, talk through your past experiences and what it is youre looking for from your career


Step 2:

Meeting with your would be manager, our Financial Controller, to talk through some of the more technical aspects of the role.


Step 3:

Meet with our Financial Controller again, and a member of the team to talk through your motivations, whilst also getting a feeling for Aerial Direct. Youll run through a few scenario based questions, and get the opportunity to ask anything youd like to learn about.
