Superscript is on the lookout for a commercially-minded and detail-driven Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team and help steer the financial direction of our growing business.
You'll work closely with the Head of Finance and budget holders across the company to lead key accounting processes, provide deep financial insights, and help shape strategic decisions through high-quality analysis and reporting.

What you'll get up to:
Own and lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across ledgers and business lines
Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
Partner with external auditors during the annual audit, managing all supporting documentation and financial schedules
Drive improvements in budgeting and forecasting cycles, collaborating with stakeholders across departments
Maintain and evolve financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for both finance and non-finance audiences
Act as a senior business partner to budget holders, advising on performance, risks, and opportunities
Support scenario planning and cost-benefit analyses for strategic initiatives
Champion continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting accuracy, and automation

About you:
Fully or nearly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Extensive experience in management accounting, including experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with a proactive approach to solving complex problems
Experience in reading financial models and confident using Excel and financial systems (we use Xledger)
Excellent communicator who can engage and influence senior stakeholders across the business
Experience supporting audits and preparing year-end financial statements
Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Naturally collaborative with a team-first mindset
Committed to continuous improvement and always looking for smarter ways of working
Insurance industry experience highly desirable
