Joining our diversely skilled and experienced finance team, you'll take on a varied role, producing management information and financial data for internal stakeholders to monitor performance and support decision-making, initially supporting the Private Secretaries Office and Digital Services.

Key responsibilities

:

Working closely with budget holders and stakeholders, you'll identify and understand key drivers, with a collaborative relationship starting to build a culture of business partnering. You'll oversee the production of monthly Management Accounts, ensuring that budget holders have the relevant financial information they require to manage spend within their departments. You will manage the budgeting and reforecasting process for your designated areas of responsibility working with budget holders to develop departmental plans and detailed budgets, unafraid to critically appraise. Support the Finance Director and Finance Business Partner Manager in ongoing projects.

About you

Essential Criteria



With an CCAB qualification (or equivalent) and significant previous experience in management accounting, you are looking to apply your knowledge in a new environment. A good communicator with a collaborative approach, you'll be able to convey complex information and advise at all levels, building strong working relationships within your team and around the organisation. With an analytical mindset, your problem-solving skills are exceptional, and along with good judgement be unafraid to critically appraise budgets. Strong IT skills, you'll be confident in excel, word and PowerPoint, understanding the different ways to present financial and non-financial information. You're able to effectively plan and manage your workload and handle multiple deadlines on a regular basis. Flexible and always accurate, you're able to adapt to meet changing priorities and feel comfortable with a high level of responsibility and variety in your work.
