Senior Management Accountant
The Conway Group have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join our team at our Head Office based in Magherafelt. The successful candidate will have a key role in oversight, financial management and operations of the Specialist Healthcare Division within the Group.
Job type - Full time/Permanent, Monday-Friday.
Salary - POA
Job Purpose
The successful applicant will maintain accurate accounting records including the preparation and analysis of key financial information.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of financial control within the Division;
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimise financial performance;
Manage and coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes;
Preparation of costing reports for ongoing projects and bespoke placements;
Preparation of management accounts and divisional performance reports;
Lead the operational and commercial functions of the Division;
Provide valuable insights and analysis to support decision-making at both strategic and operational levels;
Closely monitor working capital and cashflow within the Division to include timely collection of outstanding debt;
Assist with month end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations;
Reconciliation of Revenue and Expenditure;
Preparation and assisting with submission of VAT returns;
Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts and liaising with the external auditors;
Assisting with preparation of internal capital appraisals for potential investments or acquisition of assets;
Assist with insurance claims if/when required;
Assisting other members of the Group finance team with various tasks;
Ad hoc requests from senior management.

About the role
The Ideal Person
The successful candidate will ideally be an experienced Chartered Accountant with at least 5 year's post qualified experience. The ideal person will have excellent time management and interpersonal skills, together with strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly proficient IT skills to include Microsoft Office is also required for this role.
The successful candidate should have the following:
Proven track record of developing and securing excellent business relationships.
Proactive approach to work
Extensive experience working in a finance role within a large and complex commercial organisation.
Strategic financial management and leadership experience.
Significant knowledge and experience of financial and budgetary control systems.
Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to generate personal impact and maintain credibility at all levels.
