What's it all about?
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with at least 5 years experience, strong communication skills and a background of working in a multi-site, large volume and fast-paced business environment.
You will have the experience and confidence to hit the ground running with overall responsibility for specific key P&L lines which demand complex analysis and understanding. Assist the Management Accounting Team Manager in delivering the month end results and management accounts pack.
This role will manage and own balance sheet reconciliations relevant to P&L lines. Supporting the Management Accounting Team Manager through the review of the team's balance sheet reconciliations, including training and feedback where necessary.
Continually strive for innovation through ongoing critical evaluation; team processes and control environment with a view to improving and identifying efficiencies.
You will use a high level of commercial acumen in the input and support provided to FP&A team in annual budgeting and cyclical forecasting activities. The key point of contact for annual external audit as relevant to own P&L lines.
You will build relationships with key stakeholders in order to perform a robust financial analysis of historic and forecast performance providing insight and challenge, help to identify cost saving opportunities and manage emerging risks
This is a key role in the effective delivery, implementation and monitoring of any value-adding or cost reducing activity including supporting all business cases and investment appraisal. The position will lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts ensuring appropriate review and understanding of risks and opportunities associated with delivery.
There will be important adhoc projects that will arise from impromptu finance requirements to support the pace and direction of the business that you will need to own and present; so this person will have experience in working with complex data sets and critically analysing to present to a non-finance audience.
A high level of competence in Microsoft Excel is a prerequisite and literacy in financial systems and reporting tools vital. Knowledge of SUN and/or Anaplan is beneficial.
