We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Bank Relationships to lead our growing Banking Relationships team, reporting into the Group Treasurer. This critical role is responsible for defining and executing our global bank partnership strategy, driving key banking relationships, and ensuring seamless banking operations across the organisation. As the Head of Bank Relationships, you will lead a team overseeing all aspects of our interactions with banks, including business development, relationship management, and services functions.

You're a seasoned professional with a strong track record in the financial services sector, particularly adept at navigating the complexities of global banking relationships. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are ready to lead a critical function.

Exceptional Relationship Builder: You possess a natural ability to cultivate and maintain robust relationships with senior bankers and internal stakeholders across all markets. Strategic & Influential Communicator: Your communication skills are exemplary, allowing you to articulate complex strategies, negotiate effectively, and influence outcomes at all levels, both internally and externally. Proactive & Solutions-Oriented Leader: You approach challenges with a "can-do" attitude, demonstrating strong business acumen, a proactive mindset, and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage significant workloads while leading your team. Deep Financial Infrastructure Expertise: You bring extensive experience in cash and treasury management services, complemented by a comprehensive understanding of payments clearing systems and the intricacies of correspondent banking. Onboarding & Regulatory Acumen: You have a thorough understanding of bank account opening and onboarding processes, including deep knowledge of KYC and EDD approvals. Fintech Forward-Thinker: You have direct experience in a fintech role or significant exposure to the fintech industry, enabling you to identify innovative banking solutions and integrate them into our strategic framework.

Key Responsibilities:



Define and drive the global bank strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency, and enhanced financial services. Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with banking partners globally, serving as their primary point of contact. Lead the coordination and triage of all bank requirements and requests across the broader Checkout organization, including treasury, finance, product, risk, compliance legal and commercial needs. Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, providing expert guidance and support for their bank-related requirements. Advise internal stakeholders on bank partnerships, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and relevant bank product offerings. Execute and implement bank partnership strategy changes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Drive key banking initiatives and requirements in collaboration with the Group CFO and Group Treasurer. Lead in establishing and onboarding new banking partnerships to support our ongoing geographic expansion. Own the banking infrastructure fees budget including the accurate forecasting of the budget and the negotiation of fees agreements with all bank partners, looking for opportunities to minimise costs in a fast growth environment. Manage a team of 5 across London and Singapore covering global, regional and local bank relationships.
