.

This role sits within the

Key priorities include:

Overseeing the delivery of complex and high-profile building control projects. Managing the Council's responsibilities under the Building Safety Act. Driving innovation and service improvement through new technologies and modern practices. Ensuring effective risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Building strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.

You will also have:

Extensive experience in managing building control operations, ideally within a local authority context. In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning law, and the Building Safety Act. Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, high-value projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, able to explain technical issues clearly to a range of audiences. A proven track record of leading and developing teams to deliver outstanding results. The ability to innovate, influence, and implement change effectively.

If you're ready to take on a leadership role that combines strategic impact with technical challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
