We are looking to recruit a
Senior Manager - Children and Families,
with a sense of social purpose, to help improve the lives of others and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and adults throughout the County of Gloucestershire.
The role will be based at the Oasis Centre, West Cheltenham but expected to work across all community and resident locations. This role is also eligible for Hybrid Working.

The role is fulltime, working 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
Salary is between 37,852 per annum to 43,547 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate for the role of the YMCA Cheltenham Senior Manager - Children and Families will possess:
Experience of leading within a highly regulated and multi-disciplinary context.
Experience of successful delivery within budgetary constraints.
Experience of successful organisational and service development relating to children and/or young people.
Experience of successful fundraising / grant-raising.
Effective communication and influencing skills, including experience in public speaking.
Evidence of good analytical abilities and an ability to understand complex data and communicate said data in ways that are appropriate to the audience in question.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work with tact and diplomacy and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with complex, sensitive or confidential scenarios.
Able to work in a highly confidential way with the ability to apply judgement, common sense, problem solve and find practical solutions to difficult challenges.
Ability to maintain and build good positive working relationships with stakeholders and the community.
Effective interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to maintain good working relationships across a range of staff levels both internally and externally.
Ability to coach, mentor and direct their team.
Experience of developing, delivering and co-ordinating child-focused regulated activities.
Experience working with and reporting to regulatory bodies.
Minimum of 4-year's line management and operational experience.
Budget holding responsibly experience.
An RQF Level 5 qualification or commitment to complete one.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of
Senior Manager - Children and Families
is to provide leadership and management, across all YMCA Cheltenham's regulated work involving children - currently Pre-School activities (OFSTED), children (and families) living in our supported accommodation (NROSH) and Contact Centre (NACCC), under the direction of the Head of Communities, Health & Wellbeing.
The postholder will support the development and provide leadership of all child-facing regulated services to achieve excellence in its
Childhood Offering
by ensuring every child served by the organisation receives a consistently high level of support delivery, whilst meeting all expectations of respective regulatory bodies.
The Senior Manager - Children & Families will develop new services, as directed by the Head of Communities, Health & Wellbeing and approved by the CEO, to support the strategic direction and ensure delivery of the business planning objectives of the Charity.
