We are a long-established, privately owned group with a 100-year history of building and operating successful businesses and accumulating property assets.
We recently sold a Document Storage business we built from the ground up. For 14 years we grew the business through smart lead generation and exceptional customer service, and are now looking to do it again in the freight forwarding space.
The Role:
We're looking for an experienced, energetic, and entrepreneurial person with a freight forwarding background to help us build this new business. This is not a role for someone who wants a roadmap handed to them, it's for someone who thrives on opportunity, autonomy, and the chance to shape something from a blank canvas.
We see the first stage of the journey as 'building' the business through lead generation, networking and utilising their industry contacts to acquire the first customers.
You will:
Very Important
is that you have worked in a sales, managerial or senior role within a business. At this moment we won't be considering any other experience.
Help define and execute our business plan
Lead customer acquisition--both through your contacts and by helping us shape lead generation
Build a profitable, customer-focused business that can scale
Work alongside an ownership team that supports and invests in long-term growth
You will need to be comfortable working autonomously in an office making phone calls, making things happen, creating leads, making deals happen. There isn't a team around you, initially, you'll be the team!
A major milestone for us will be acquiring our first customer!
You bring:
Minimum of 10 years solid experience in freight forwardingwhich is very important as we see this as the start of our journey to a complete logistics solution
A commercial mindset and proven ability to grow a business or division, create leads and sales
The energy and determination to take ownership and drive performance
A hands-on, proactive approach to solving problems and seizing opportunities

Much of this is based on experience and seniority, we would like to speak to current directors and managers in the sector to find the best fit and person for the journey ahead
Salary will be competitive in the market place 50,000 - 75,000 based on experience
Bonus and incentives based on milestones, these will be decided when the person joins, and we set out on our business building journey
