We are looking to appoint a Senior Manager - Golf who will represent VisitScotland's role as a leader in the golf industry in Scotland providing a leadership in direction, knowledge, and expertise, to engender a culture of best practice internally and externally .
The post holder will build and maintain close working relationships and establish long term strategic partnerships with key individuals and organisations within the golf industry, such as local authorities, International Golf bodies, Scottish Government, venues and SportScotland. The post holder will play a critical role in VisitScotland's interface with Scottish Government in relation to golf activity and will support VisitScotland's Executive Leadership in its wider work with the golf sector and across VS.

Degree in related discipline or significant equivalent experience, including continuous professional development and upskilling in areas of large scale event delivery, strategy development, impact measurement, partnership working, and leadership.
Deep understanding of event lifecycle, including bidding, logistics, budgeting, risk management, and post-event evaluation and impact.
Experienced in budget creation, cost control, ROI analysis, and negotiation.
Strong organisational skills, timeline management, and multitasking under pressure.
Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building with colleagues and stakeholders up to CEO level enabling effective influence and strategic impact.
Experience in strategy development and delivery in an events setting, with effective stakeholder engagement and management. Able to translate strategy into actionable delivery for teams.
An interest in and awareness of trends and opportunities in the industry; allowing you to cultivate strategic relationships that maintain Scotland's competitive position in the development and securing future events
