Your Role

You will play a crucial role in guiding organisations through all elements of IT Asset Management. The Cloud Economics function was created two years ago and has since grown substantially. During this time we have expanded our scope into FinOps for GenAI, SaaS optimisation and FinOps for On-Prem. This role will help us expand further will complement the existing offers. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to shape and build something from the ground whilst being part of a bigger team that is always growing.

The initial key focus for expansion will be Software Asset Management including cloud and SaaS but we would want to extend it to all capabilities within the ITAM discipline and ensure it is future focused in a fast-changing market. Using your expertise, we will develop high end ITAM consultancy services for enterprise organisations.

The scope of the role is:

Services: Define our range of ITAM services, such as SAM, HAM, lifecycle management, compliance, optimisation and risk management. Creating different service offers to cater to various client needs and budgets.

Value Proposition: Clearly articulate the unique benefits and value our ITAM services provide.

Processes and Procedures: Develop standardised processes for delivering ITAM services, including onboarding, asset discovery, and reporting.

Tools and Technologies: Guidance and advice on ITAM tools and software that support efficient service delivery, including but not limited to ServiceNow, Ivanti, BMC Helix

Compliance and Standards: Ensure your services adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., CIS, ITIL, ISO 19770).

Client Delivery: lead and deliver ITAM engagements for our clients to the highest standards ensuring client satisfaction

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

Business Development

- Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.

Internal Contribution

- Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.

Learning & Development

- Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your Profile

If you are in industry, you will be leading an ITAM team and will bring a deep knowledge and experience from the client perspective. You will be looking to expand your skills into consultancy and relish the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients with specific challenges and requirements.

If you are currently working in a consultancy firm you will have demonstrable experience of creating ITAM offers, bringing them to clients and delivering top-tier consultancy services in this specialist field.

Deep understanding of software licensing models, agreements, and compliance requirements.

In-depth understanding of various hardware components, including servers, desktops, laptops, networking equipment, and peripherals. Proficiency in using hardware asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, BMC Helix).

Experience of working across both On-Prem and Cloud providing a joined-up approach and oversight for Datacenter, Cloud and SaaS.
