Job title: Senior Manager, Product Owner - Sales & Distribution

Location: GSK house, UK

Job purpose:

This product owner role is mainly focused on the sales and distribution area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A product owner expert with a very broad and knowledgeable understanding of the technical products within the Sales & Distribution and e-Commerce tower, how they integrate with each other and into other applications.
  • Provide expert and broad cross product template and integration knowledge to lead, support and advise accordingly to be able to ensure that specific product roadmaps are defined that are coherent and will minimise technical debt and risks.
  • Manage, fix and drive to conclusion escalations and major incidents o Set up, management and leadership of SWAT calls involving multiple tech groups.
  • Managing key stakeholders including local management, senior leadership and VPs of critical updates during and after major incidents
  • Management of AARs and ensuring outcomes are implemented and track
  • Liaise, manage and partner with key stakeholders for backlog of multiproduct assets
  • Accountable for assessment and management of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Expert Product/Functional Lead for cross product agile teams or projects locally and globally.
  • As a product owner expert Lead, coach, mentor and develop product experts creating successful succession planning in local team and in wider teams
Basic qualifications:
  • Solid SAP configuration experience in SD modules for Order, Pricing, Delivery, Shipment, Billing, Inter-Company
  • Proven ability to engage with business process owners to understand the business needs and priorities, lead requirement gathering and analysis, and design solutions leveraging appropriate tools and platforms
  • Experience in implementing large and complex SAP Projects, solution build, configuration and delivery to meet business requirements.
  • Expert hands on experience in developing SAP solutions using configuration in SD modules
  • Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and solution delivery experience across the end-to-end financial process and its integration points with other processes (APO, W&D, R2R, P2P etc.), acquired through multiple hands-on roles in global SAP implementations
  • Knowledge and understanding of local legal and fiscal requirements and their implications on ERP
  • Knowledge of external and internal best practices relevant to aligned process area
  • Demonstrated ability to understand Sales & Distribution Processes and their role to support business operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Capable of working effectively in large, complex cross functional teams, capable of building relationships across different stakeholders and functional groups
  • Solution oriented and problem solving
  • Dynamic, flexible, team player and result driven
  • Experience in working with Agile, Scrum, Kanban and waterfall delivery models
  • Experience in Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Customer (B2C) and working with system integrators key to this role
  • Experience in a regulated environment is a plus
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with EDI and middleware e.g. SAP PO and API technologies
  • Prior experience with emerging technologies including ML, AI, IoT and Blockchain is a plus
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager
  • Certification in SAP SD, S/4 HANA is preferred but not essential
