About us
------------
UCL is a radically different university. Founded in 1826 in the heart of London, we were the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to welcome women to university education. Today UCL has over 50,000 students and 16,000 staff and is one of the world's top 10 universities.
The Vice-President External Engagement (VPEE) team delivers communications and marketing activity for UCL, working to ensure UCL's public prominence, reputation and influence reflects the university's excellence in knowledge creation, education, and innovation.
About the role
------------------
UCL is seeking a creative and data-driven Senior Marketing Communications Officer to lead paid student recruitment advertising campaigns that elevate our global reputation. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the world's leading universities and play a pivotal role in attracting the next generation of students through strategic, data-driven marketing. You'll work closely with internal teams and external agencies to craft compelling content and optimise campaign performance across digital platforms.
In this varied and high-impact role, you'll collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop and implement comprehensive digital campaigns. From liaising with media buying and creative agencies to advising faculties on best practices, your expertise will help execute UCL's student recruitment strategy. You'll also harness creative storytelling to produce engaging content for paid and organic channels, working directly with students and alumni to bring authentic voices to our campaigns.
Your analytical skills will be key as you monitor campaign performance, analyse lead data, and contribute to continuous improvement through detailed reporting. You'll work with CRM and Digital teams, leveraging a variety of tools to ensure our campaigns are both effective and insightful. This role offers the chance to influence decision-making and drive measurable results in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
If you're passionate about digital marketing, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and want to make a meaningful impact at a globally recognised institution, we'd love to hear from you.
If you have any queries about the role, please contact Monika at m.harms@ucl.ac.uk.
Please note, this is a permanent post and is available to start from 12 January 2026. We operate hybrid working and the role will based onsite 2 days per week at our London Kings Cross office.
