JOB PURPOSE
As a Marketing Executive you are here to develop marketing campaigns for our new, scale up and returning shows. Raising awareness and converting this awareness to views both on linear and streaming.
A Marketing Executive working in the campaigns team will typically manage a certain genre and be responsible for developing a mix of marketing campaigns; from promos that sit across our owned media estate all the way through to bigger campaigns with large paid media budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be focussed on a specific genre (e.g. Factual / Reality / Drama) and will be dedicated to making brilliant campaigns for shows in this genre, creating strong relationships with the commissioning department to enable quick turnaround.
Will act as part of a team to be a pivotal contact with internal stakeholders and will coordinate multifunctional teams, to deliver multiple promo campaigns in a timely way. They will need to ensure strong communication and strategic alignment across all teams as well as with external production companies.
They will work together with the Head of Marketing and the genre Marketing Lead to also create award winning paid media campaigns. Supporting priority shows with paid media, influencer, press and organic social plans.
Will have a good audience understanding for the show concept, thoroughly understanding the insights from hooks and barrier research and working with the Marketing Lead to evaluate where any extra understanding is needed.
Will develop strong creative judgement and will develop knowledge in inspiring and briefing creative teams, working directly with the campaigns planner.
Will also have strong analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail when tracking the campaign from multiple sources. We like to spot opportunities in how to further support shows in series.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Technical and professional skills
Proven marketing experience (broadcast, client or agency).
Clear and demonstrable passion for both TV and marketing.
Understanding of the role of marketing within Channel 4 and a good knowledge of the Channel 4 network.
Strong project management skills.
A good understanding and knowledge of social media.
Good relationship building and communication skills.
Energy, passion, confidence and commitment.
Autonomy/judgement/decision making
Strong creative judgement.
Ability to assess and critique marketing ideas against campaign objectives.
Able to manage upwards.
Develop strong relationships with 4creative and Commissioning.
Be the first port of call for promo marketing queries.

Basic salary per annum starting from
35,000.00

Hybrid working
From September 2023, C4 has operated a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week.
Having everyone in the office three days a week gives us more opportunity to build our high performing, inclusive culture; to collaborate and to learn and share with each other, as well as helping to coordinate a regular pattern of home and office working days.
