The Role:
A highly experienced and strategically minded Senior Marketing Manager to own and develop a market leading investment proposition story, leading the planning, development, and execution of adviser-facing marketing initiatives for M&G's investment solutions and services. This role is pivotal to the success of the M&G Adviser Services proposition and reports directly to the Head of Adviser Marketing.
This is a senior-level position suited to a marketing professional with a strong track record in UK financial services, who already operates with autonomy and influence, and has the desire and clear potential for progression.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Supporting the M&G adviser marketing strategy, define our investment proposition story and create the marketing plan to effectively take this to market, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and adviser needs.
SME for investment marketing: Develop and deliver compelling marketing narratives and collateral that effectively targets and supports advisers and their clients through their investment journey, utilising data visualisation tools to enhance storytelling and presentation.
Market Insight & Innovation: Leverage deep market knowledge, adviser insight and competitor analysis to position our investment proposition effectively, informing compelling, insight-led campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior stakeholders across distribution, operations, and marketing to deliver integrated, high-impact marketing programmes.
Campaign Management: oversee the end-to-end delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns across key adviser segments, ensuring measurable outcomes and ROI.
Performance & Budget Oversight: Define KPIs, manage budgets, and report on performance to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
Operational Excellence: Champion scalable, secure, and sustainable marketing practices, integrating innovations and third-party partnerships where appropriate.
Brand Stewardship: Ensure all materials are consistent with M&G's brand guidelines and regulatory standards.
Market Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and execution.
Governance & Compliance: Maintain rigorous control standards and ensure all marketing activity complies with relevant regulations.
Key Skills & Experience:Extensive experience in UK financial services marketing, with a strong focus on B2B marketing and adviser-facing investment propositions and solutions.
Proven ability to operate at a senior strategic level, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and contributing positively to business-wide initiatives.
Deep understanding of the UK adviser landscape, including restricted and independent advisers, DFMs, consolidators, and networks.
Demonstrable success in developing and delivering highly effective marketing strategy, for investment propositions and solutions, that drive commercial outcomes.
Strong project management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for professional audiences.
Experience representing Marketing in senior forums and contributing to cross-functional leadership discussions.
Team Development & Capability BuildingAct as a subject matter expert in investment propositions and solutions, building credibility and trust through storytelling and insight driven channel optimization, taking a proactive role in upskilling and mentoring colleagues within the Adviser Marketing team.
Take a proactive role in upskilling and mentoring colleagues, leading knowledge-sharing initiatives, workshops, and best practice sessions to enhance team capability in areas such as campaign strategy, performance analytics and multi-channel optimisation.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of digital marketing trends and technologies.
