We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Manager to join the UK's largest creative community of artists and home of cultural innovation, Somerset House. You will work with our Head of Marketing & Audiences to lead and execute our marketing strategies, driving brand growth and business performance focusing on Live Events and ticketed programming. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and implementing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels both online and offline, managing budgets, and leading a team.
What we are looking for:
Lead on the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns for our ticketed live events (Skate) and exhibitions (Wayne McGregor Infinite Bodies).
Develop and deliver audience-first, full-funnel marketing strategies that grow ticket sales, drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention, and maximise revenue while building brand awareness
Work closely with ticketing and visitor experience teams to optimise pricing, promotions, and audience communications, ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded.
Support brand and campaign storytelling by developing compelling value propositions and audience-focused communications that clearly articulate why and when to book.
Analyse market trends, customer insights, sales data, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth, upsell, and cross-sell across the event portfolio.
Monitor campaign performance in real-time and produce post-campaign analysis, making data-led recommendations to improve ROI, conversion rates, and customer loyalty.
Ensure creative, content, and digital teams are fully aligned to campaign strategies and timelines, enabling content that directly supports ticket sales objectives while enhancing brand engagement.
Manage and report on marketing budgets for ticketed events, ensuring efficient spend and clear returns on investment.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including live events, development, commercial, and visitor experience teams, to ensure campaigns are integrated, on-brand, and aligned with organisational goals.
Build and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies, media outlets, and cultural collaborators to amplify ticket sales, extend reach, and grow new audiences.
Skills, knowledge & expertise required for the role:
Experience
:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing within events, arts & culture or ticketed experience-based organisations.
Proven track record of driving ticket sales and conversion-focused campaigns across a portfolio of events or experiences.
Familiarity with audience segmentation and growth strategies, with demonstrable success in broadening reach and deepening engagement.
Experience in leveraging both online and offline channels to deliver measurable impact on ticket sales and audience development.
Creative thinker with experience developing innovative sales-driving campaigns, including dynamic pricing, limited-time offers, and audience loyalty schemes.
Skills
:Deep understanding of ticketing platforms, CRM, sales funnels, and customer journeys, with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple campaigns, priorities, and deadlines.
Excellent analytical skills, with confidence in interpreting ticketing and marketing data to make evidence-based decisions.
Skilled communicator, able to create clear, compelling reports and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with autonomy, creative problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.
Growth mindset - keen to test, learn, and continuously evolve strategies in response to audience needs and industry trends.
