Full-time, permanent


Working hours:



40 hours per week Standard working hours are 9am - 6pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch break) with the option to flex-start and end time. We offer flexibility to employees to balance their commitments, including medical appointments, parental or caregiving responsibilities, and personal goals.

Salary:

40,000 p.a FTE, with annual increases subject to performance

Location:

Candidate must be resident and have the right to work in the UK


We have offices in: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.


We ask that colleagues living within one hour of a regional base attend the office a minimum of once per week. Colleagues living further away are asked to attend a minimum of once per month.

ABOUT THE ROLE




We're looking for an entrepreneurial, strategic and hands-on Senior Marketing Manager to lead the growth of our brand and campaigns across both our B2C and B2B audiences. This is a critical role within the charity, responsible for growing our organic channels, leading digital performance, and managing a small team and agency relationships.


For Generation, B2C means reaching and engaging people who are facing barriers to employment, and who are suitable for our skills bootcamp programmes. On the B2B side, you'll be building brand awareness, engaging employers and supporting our Partnerships team to bring employers onboard to hire our learners at the end of their bootcamp journey. You will be instrumental in scaling our reach and supporting conversion across both audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing Leadership



Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies to drive learner applications and employer engagement. Own the strategy and performance of B2C (learner acquisition) and B2B (employer engagement) marketing. Collaborate closely with the Admissions, Partnerships, and Growths teams to ensure marketing supports organisational goals.

Leadership and Stakeholder Management



Line manage and support the development of a Marketing Associate. Manage our external PPC agency, ensuring strong performance across paid search and paid social campaigns. Develop training for internal stakeholders to upskill in foundational marketing and content competencies, enabling our wider teams to run successful outreach campaigns and events, supported by best practice and great content.

Content, SEO and Organic Growth



Lead on organic growth initiatives including SEO, content marketing, email marketing and social media. Work with internal and external contributors to produce high-quality, mission-aligned content. Own the social media calendar and oversee consistent, engaging output across platforms.

Performance and Reporting



Monitor and optimise marketing performance across all channels making strong use of datasets and campaign analysis Report on KPIs, generate insights, and take actions to improve ROI and reach.

EXPERIENCE




The ideal candidate will have:

Proven track record in a marketing manager role - experience within a purpose-led, charity, education, or training organisation would be advantageous. Strong experience in content marketing, SEO, and driving growth through organic channels. Hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns, either directly or through an agency, delivering demonstrable return on investment. Demonstrated success working across both B2C and B2B audiences, with the ability to tailor strategies and messaging accordingly. Experience managing and developing team members - whether formally or informally - with a supportive and empowering leadership style. Confident using analytics tools to monitor performance, generate insights, and improve campaign effectiveness. You have experience designing email marketing campaigns with the objective of boosting application and conversion rates and can demonstrate measurable uplift as a result of the campaigns you've worked on You have managed multiple projects or workstreams with a range of stakeholders. You are at ease working to strict deadlines and targets in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working independently.
