The BBA is looking to hire a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, organised, entrepreneurial, energetic and commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to lead and deliver our marketing strategy at a pivotal stage of growth. As a certification body operating in a highly regulated and competitive environment, this role is critical in strengthening our market position, increasing brand awareness, and driving demand across our portfolio of certification and assurance services. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to a marketing professional who thrives in a small-team environment, is comfortable balancing strategy with execution, and can build scalable marketing capability to support future growth.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and own a clear, multi-channel marketing strategy aligned to business growth objectives.
  • Position the organisation as a trusted authority within certification, compliance, and assurance markets.
  • Identify growth opportunities across sectors, services, and geographies.
  • Translate commercial goals into measurable marketing plans and KPIs.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small in-house marketing team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Set clear priorities, objectives, and development plans for team members.
  • Manage and coordinate external agencies, freelancers, and suppliers where required.
  • Build scalable processes and structures to support future team expansion.
Brand & Communications
  • Own and evolve the organisation's brand positioning, messaging, and value proposition.
  • Ensure consistency across all touchpoints, including digital, print, events, and customer communications, working with individuals in the team to deliver within their own remit in line with the overarching business goals.
  • Oversee content strategy, including thought leadership, technical content, case studies, and sector insights.
  • Act as a senior marketing voice internally, influencing stakeholders across the business.
Demand Generation & Digital Marketing
  • Drive lead generation and pipeline growth through integrated campaigns.
  • Oversee digital channels including website, SEO, paid media, email marketing, and social media, working with individuals in the team to deliver within their own remit.
  • Use data and insight to continuously optimise campaign performance and ROI.
  • Support sales teams with effective marketing collateral and campaign alignment.
Market Insight & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity within certification and related industries.
  • Work closely with technical, commercial, and operational teams to ensure marketing reflects real customer needs.
  • Represent marketing at senior leadership level when required, contributing to broader business strategy.
General Responsibilities:
  • Promote and adhere to all BBA policies and actively promote the BBA wherever possible.
  • Responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of your colleagues and others on the BBA premises in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and the BBA Health & Safety Handbook.

Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within B2B, professional services, certification, or regulated environments.
  • Demonstrable success in building and executing growth-focused marketing strategies.
  • Experience managing and developing small teams, including hands-on leadership.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, lead generation, and brand management.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to link marketing activity to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  • Experience within certification, compliance, standards, assurance, or adjacent professional services sectors.
  • Experience supporting organisations through periods of growth or transformation.
  • Familiarity with international or multi-sector B2B markets.
