Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Complex Technology

Job Description


We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to help one of the leading engineering companies in the world with the development of complex technologies across the healthcare, life sciences, medical devices and industrial sectors.

You will the lead mechanical design engineer on a rage of projects using either SolidWorks or Creo. Although you will not have line manager responsibility over other engineers you will at times have project leadership responsibilities. Due to this you will be expected to help more junior mechanical design engineers with their part of the project, you will have this knowledge and experience from working in industry on the development of complex technologies.

The type of devices you will design will range from sensors technology, automation and robotics. So for you to be successful you will have successfully developed complex systems from scratch and taken through to market. With this experience you will be well suited to give advice on projects from your work history rather than from a book.

This being said you will still need to hold a 1st or 2:1 degree from a leading engineering, scientific, physics or other mechanical design focused university. If your work experience has been working for consultancies or across a number of different complex systems we may be able to bypass the education requirement.
