What will you be doing?

We are looking for a

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

to take a leading role in the development of innovative mechanical solutions for

R&D and R&T programmes.

You will ensure designs are technically robust, meet customer requirements and align with key business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the definition and delivery of

mechanical design solutions

for new product development

Review

and

approve

design work produced by Product Engineers across the team Support or own one or more Engineering Work Packages for mechanical design activities Provide technical supervision to a multidisciplinary team including

Stress & Thermal, Supply Chain, Industrialisation, V&V, Configuration and Quality

Act as the technical reporting point for Product Engineers within allocated work packages Ensure solutions meet

Design for Manufacture/Assembly

and

Design to Cost requirements

Contribute to

continuous improvement

across design processes and engineering governance

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Experience delivering

mechanical design

in a complex engineering or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of

full product lifecycle and engineering governance

Ability to lead reviews and provide constructive technical guidance to peers Knowledge of

design standards and manufacturing processes

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
