Phoenix is a leading innovator in the marine equipment industry, specialising in high-performance mechanical lifts for yachts and precision hydraulic actuators. We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team and help shape the future of marine engineering.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take the lead on the design and development of advanced mechanical lift systems and hydraulic actuators. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and fabricators to deliver high-quality, custom-engineered solutions for the world's most prestigious yachts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical design process from concept through to production.

Develop 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings.

Specify materials and components suitable for marine environments.

Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic, and manufacturing teams.

Conduct design reviews, FEA analysis, and testing support.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in design practices.

DFQ- Design for Quality

Key Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within marine, aerospace, or automotive sectors.

Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

Strong proficiency in FEA analysis

Understanding of hydraulic systems and marine environments is a plus.

Experience with geometric tolerances and CNC machined parts

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Enthusiastic, proactive, and solutions oriented.

Advantageous:

DFM for welding
