, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the performance, safety, and reliability of our world-class rides and attractions. You'll also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across departments to solve complex engineering challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading Mechanical Inspections & Maintenance:
Oversee inspections of ride tracks, vehicles, motors, and hydraulics to detect wear, fatigue, or misalignment.
Validate and enhance safety systems--including restraints, barriers, and emergency shutoffs--ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Sensor Calibration & Testing:
Ensure sensors (e.g., proximity, load, thermal) are accurate and functioning reliably.
Motor, Brake & Control System Oversight:
Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical systems under varying load conditions.
Annual Maintenance Leadership:
Lead overhauls and refurbishments as part of our comprehensive annual maintenance program.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with design, operations, and safety teams to identify improvements and implement engineering solutions.
Mentorship:
Support and guide junior engineers and technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
Who We're Looking For:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
5+ years' experience
in mechanical engineering roles, ideally within theme parks, entertainment, heavy machinery, or industrial environments
Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Deep understanding of safety standards, compliance, and risk management
Confident communicator and team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Experience managing or mentoring others is a strong advantage
