Senior Multi-Skilled Engineering Supervisor

We are looking for a

proactive, hands-on, multi-skilled engineering professional

to lead and support our site team at our York facility. This is a unique role for someone who thrives in a

practical, on-site environment

while supervising and mentoring a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively participate in day-to-day engineering tasks across

mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines

. Supervise and support multiskilled engineers, providing guidance, training, and leadership. Ensure all plant, machinery, and systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with legislation. Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and disruption. Develop and implement

preventive maintenance systems

and regular inspections. Drive

continuous improvement initiatives

, introducing practical solutions to optimise site performance. Maintain accurate records, PPM documentation, and reports to senior management. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Take personal ownership of projects from planning to execution, providing both leadership and hands-on support.

Requirements:

Proven

hands-on experience

in site engineering or industrial maintenance. Multi-skilled with experience across

mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering

tasks. Strong understanding of

health & safety legislation

and compliance standards. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Experience with preventive maintenance systems and plant optimisation.
