Kane Group are an established, and successful multi-disciplinary building-services solution contractor, with our Head Office based in Banbridge, Northern Ireland.

We're an innovative, forward-thinking company with continued steady growth serving residential, hospitality, education, commercial and healthcare sectors with offices in Northern Ireland, London, Birmingham, Glasgow and the Republic of Ireland.

We're currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team, this position will be based in our Birmingham office

Key Responsibilities

Sending/receiving enquiries to/from suppliers & specialist sub-contractors Preparing take-offs from drawings Inputting take-offs and quotations into Estimating software (Amtech) Accessing and linking information on 4Projects Preparation of tender price Attending Mid-tender review meetings with Clients Presentation of tender to Estimating/Bid Manager for approval prior to submittal Detailed tender submission Post tender review meetings with Clients Preparing comprehensive tender handover reports for the Project Delivery Team

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

5+ GCSE's (Grade C & above) 4+ years estimating experience Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Excel Experience using estimating software

Desirable

HNC/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering / Time served Plumber. Experience in attending mid/post tender review meetings Experience in tendering across a wide range of sectors

Strong attention to detail Proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team Be able to work under tight deadlines & schedules Willing to travel to Ireland & the UK for client meetings Willing to travel to our Head Office in Banbridge for team meetings/tender reviews (Max 1 per month)
