Join the dynamic Croydon Assessment and Liaison Team as a Band 7 Team Leader/Senior Practitioner, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care. You'll lead on assessments, care planning, and brief interventions (up to 12 weeks), supporting adults with complex mental health needs during crucial points of their care journey.
In this highly autonomous role, you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, external agencies, and primary care, managing a small caseload while also supervising junior staff and students. What you can add:
You will lead on specialist mental health assessments, care planning, and brief interventions for adults in acute need.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and recovery-focused care.
You will supervise and support junior staff and students, promoting a culture of learning and development.
You will play an active role in service improvement, contributing to audits, research, and clinical governance.
You will ensure high standards of care and compliance, working within professional, legal, and Trust frameworks.
What you'll need:
Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker
Evidence of recent continued professional development
Experience working with adults with complex mental health needs (e.g. depression, anxiety, personality disorders) using NICE-recommended, evidence-based interventions.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), with experience supporting diverse and multicultural populations.
Skilled in clinical and managerial supervision, developing and delivering teaching programs, and conducting psychological assessments and treatments.
Strong knowledge of psychological models such as CBT, DBT, or MBT.
Desirable:
Experience in community mental health settings
Accredited skills in at least one psychological therapy model (e.g. CBT, DBT).
Recognised management qualification (e.g. MSc) or equivalent advanced education.
