As MOVE DANCE continues to grow as the leading online destination for dancewear, we're looking for an experienced and analytical Senior Merchandiser & Forecaster to join our commercial team and play a key role in developing best in class dancewear stock management - looking after the demand planning, purchasing & supply.

This is both an operational and strategic role to maximise commercial opportunities through accurate stock management. This will involve planning and forecasting thousands of SKUs, maximise sell-through and achieving stock targets to contribute to maintaining high levels of customer experience.

We're also looking for candidates with a forward-thinking approach to technology, to work with our in-house development team to create tools to help manage and improve the operational processes, and automate where appropriate.

This role is suitable for merchandisers with & without fashion & apparel experience.

This would suit someone who:

What you'll be responsible for:

Full ownership and responsibility for the forecasting and supply of products for Move Dance. Management of the total stock held in our warehouse at any one time, producing accurate bottom up stock forecasts to provide confidence in our forward cash position. Refine, improve and maintain the forecasting algorithms which underpin our sales data based models for both long and short lead time purchases. Develop automations and systems to improve the processes in the department, in conjunction with our in-house development team. Regularly self-report on the merchandising & sales performance and share this with the rest of the senior team, as well as ad-hoc analysis where required. Communicate with key external suppliers where necessary to manage their delivery performance. Lead, motivate and develop the merchandising & buying admin team
What you will need to succeed:

Strong analytic background with the ability to analyse large quantities of data and use the data to drive action. Working at advanced level on Excel - VLOOKUP and Pivot tables. Proven track record as a Senior Merchandiser within a merchandising and stock forecasting environment. Leadership skills to manage a team and engage/influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Commercial awareness and the ability to relate business needs and requirements in a compelling and understandable way to the team and the wider business stakeholders. Organisation skills Drive to help develop technology to improve and automate the department's processes. Be a flexible team player who doesn't mind 'mucking in' when needed - at key busy periods during the year, or to tackle ad-hoc reporting as needed. The ability to be resilient and tenacious to get results. Excellent communication skills to instigate and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers, third parties and cross business stakeholders
