Role Overview




Campari Group is looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join the Commercial team based in London, United Kingdom.


An ambitious and committed individual with a working knowledge of the UK Grocery & Convenience Channel to work closely with the National Account Controller & Business Unit Manager to deliver ambitious sales targets.



This role will involve playing an integral role in developing the 3-year Grocery channel strategy. The role will have full P&L responsibility for Waitrose & Morrisons, both key strategic customers for Campari UK. We are looking for a driven, high achiever who is a great team player. Strategically minded, yet hands on to deliver wins, with great attention to detail. The ability to build insight-led business plans to deliver key commercial and brand metrics. Skilled at building strong relationship with both key external and internal stakeholders.



The successful candidate will report into the Grocery National Account Controller.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:



Full P&L responsbilitty and accountability for their key grocery accounts: Waitrose & Morrisons Continuosly work with the National Account Controller & Business Unit Manager to develop the 3 year Grocery & Convenience channel strategy Attention to detail on monthly reporting and forecasting, with the ability to share concise summarys to the National Account Controller. Excellent commercial accumen and ability to build value chains which consider both the retailer alongside Campari UK. Structure, implement and manage joint business plans with customers, that ensures delivery of key agreed volume and margin targets aligned to the commercial strategy. Step change the Campari relationship with key customers by developing collaborative partnerships, maintaining and developing relationships across all levels of these businesses, in order to increase business performance, develop sales opportunities and increase profitability. Commercial accountability for delivering against targeted objectives, securing new business within the channel and developing key stakeholder relationships. Promote teamwork and collaboration across cross-functional teams including Channel & Customer Marketing, Finance & Supply chain, always looking for ways to improve and develop ways of working. Ability to manipulate and analyse category market data to provide insight led stories, linked to exciting market activations. Support the National Account Controller to ensure a coordinated commercial position across key customers.

Experience:



Essential:



Solid track record of successful account management and negotiation. Prior experience working with either

Waitrose or Morrisons

Desirable:



Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the UK drinks industry / FMCG desired Evidence of clear category understanding and successful implementation of initiatives

Skills:



Excellent knowledge of the UK On and Off trade spirits market Strong understanding of the Grocery channel Leadership: guiding the more junior members of the sales team Results driven, coupled with operating with a controlled sense of urgency The ability to tailor plans and approach to target the diverse customer base Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Ability to derive insight from data Robust commercial understanding, sound numerical and reasoning skills Strong negotiation skills Ability to interact and deliver change through different levels Ability to influence peers / stakeholders and senior management both internally and externally
