Main Purpose of Role
Reporting directly to the Category Director Portables, you will be responsible for the management of key national accounts where you will have accountability for the delivery of the strategy, forecasting, planning and execution of business targets. Full account level P&L responsibility.
Key Accountabilities
Strategy and Channel Management
P&L delivery: driving profitable sales
Develop, coordinate, execute and monitor joint business plans for key customers with a focus on driving profitable sales out performance
Drive brilliant execution at the point of purchase for defined customer sales drivers - Range, Search, Space, price, promo activity, Feature & Display
Deliver internal financial business objectives, whilst managing key customer relationships
Input effectively to the monthly demand process ensuring accurate, timely and robust information flow
Communication
Ensure GDHV and customer priorities are aligned, and plans are in place to deliver annual targets
Management and optimisation of Joint Business Plans ensuring external and internal key contacts have full visibility of performance via regular Monthly and quarterly reviews
Ensure internal stakeholders are fully aligned to what is needed to deliver within your customer portfolio
Ownership and communication of forecast changes, drivers and deliver course correction where needed
Range Optimisation
Create customer/s range architecture to maximize profitability
Awareness of market dynamics to meet category brand, market, and profitability requirements
Execute Promotions in line with the National Plan and specific customer needs
Online A+ equivalent content delivery to drive brand visibility
Evaluation and Performance Tracking
Evaluation of promotional activities alongside Business Plans
Weekly/monthly/Annual sales calls, forecasting input and evaluation of sales plans
Management of terms and other trade investment to deliver optimal ROI
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
Minimum 8 years' experience in Management/Sales
Understanding of key sales drivers
Demonstrable experience of delivering joint business plans
Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent presentation and inter personal skills
High commercial acumen
Experience of Forecast and Planning
Experience of building and executing to Channel Strategies
Self-starter and results oriented
UK Driving Licence
IT Literate of Microsoft Office
Desirable Criteria
Work experience within FMCG or consumer durables
Degree or equivalent in a marketing, channel management, sales, finance, and communications
Competencies
Key Performance Objectives (KPO's)
Delivery of internal budgeted sales, trade investments and margin targets.
Manage customer range architecture to maximise profitability.
In Market execution of GDHV business plans.
Measurement and improvement of Return on Investment of Commercial activities
Measurement and improvement of Return on Customer Specific Advertising Spend.
