Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while promoting their dignity and independence.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Foster a warm and welcoming environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care services. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.

Experience

Previous experience in a senior care or care home environment is essential. Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and their families. Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
