We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a care home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting senior residents. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example, supervise junior staff, and ensure the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs. The Senior Care Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for all residents.
Duties
Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Implement and review personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document accordingly
Foster positive relationships with residents, providing companionship and emotional support
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Lead by example in promoting respectful and dignified treatment of all residents
Ensure communal areas are cleaned to a high standard

Skills
Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Good organisational skills
Knowledge of senior care practices and relevant health & safety legislation
Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for older adults
