Job Description

Must be qualified to SVQ2 or SVQ3 level

To maintain a high level of care & support to all residents

To lead the team of staff on shift and to take responsibility for the safe running of the home whilst on shift

Ensure that you and other staff on shift carry out their duty of care standards & practice which is appropriate for individual residents

Work in accordance with the homes Policies & Procedures

Participate in any staff training, Meetings & development issues

To be responsible for all residents in the administrating, Supply & recording of their medication while on shift & all other aspects relating to medication policies & residents health

To be responsible in recording, updating & maintaining daily report writing & residents care plans.

Communicate & interact with relatives, friends & other professional agencies

Report & record all necessary information pertinent to the Manager, Staff, resident & any other relevant matter while you are responsible for the shift

To ensure that all information of a confident nature is not divulged to third parties

To practice & uphold the values of care set by Uprichard Care Homes

To ensure that there are adequate numbers of relevant staff required for each shift if circumstances change whilst on shift.
