As we expand with the opening of our third nursery site, we are seeking a
Senior Nursery Nurse
to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and confident early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in shaping the care and education we provide.
About the Role
As a
Senior Nursery Nurse
, you will:
Lead by example, supporting junior staff and apprentices in daily practice.
Deliver exceptional care and early years education to children aged 0-5 years.
Plan and implement a rich and stimulating curriculum that supports EYFS learning goals.
Take responsibility for room management when required, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with safeguarding and health & safety standards.
Monitor and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and planning next steps.
Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Support with staff inductions, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.
Foster a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment that reflects the needs of all children.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a passionate, experienced childcare professional who is ready to lead and inspire.
Essential:
A
Level 3 qualification
(or higher) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
Minimum
2 years' experience
in a nursery or early years setting.
Proven ability to lead, support, and mentor junior staff.
Deep understanding of the
EYFS framework
and child development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
A
genuine passion
for early years education and helping children thrive.
A
sense of humour
- because laughter is part of learning!
Desirable:
Experience in a supervisory or room leader role.
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain).
