Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality care and education in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of children aged 0-5 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Support children's social and emotional needs, encouraging positive behaviour and interactions. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

Skills

Strong management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff and support team dynamics. Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, particularly the EYFS framework. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential off-site activities or outings. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when working with young children. Pay: 12.61 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
