Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves providing high-quality care and education to young children in a nurturing environment, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being.

Duties

Provide attentive and compassionate care to children aged 0-5 years, fostering their emotional, social, and intellectual development. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being. Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere that prioritises the needs of the children. Keep accurate records of children's development and daily activities in line with nursery policies. Assist in the management of the nursery, including supervising junior staff and supporting leadership initiatives.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support fellow staff members. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel if required for nursery-related activities.
