Senior Nursery Nurse

Your Role at Bizzi Day- As a Senior Nursery Nurse

In this senior role, you'll lead by example in providing outstanding care and education to children aged 0-5. You'll take responsibility for guiding junior staff, overseeing room activities, and ensuring high standards across all aspects of nursery life -- in line with the Early Years Foundation Phase framework.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a room team to deliver exceptional care, learning, and development opportunities. Mentor and support Nursery Nurses and Assistants in their daily practice. Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging and age-appropriate activities. Maintain accurate developmental records and observations for key children. Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, carers, and your team. Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene policies are followed. Contribute to staff training and help develop a culture of continuous improvement. Support with administrative and planning tasks as needed by senior management.

What We're Looking For

A recognised qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 minimum). At least 1 year of experience working in a nursery or early years setting. Proven ability to lead, supervise, and inspire a small team. Confident knowledge of the EYFP and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication skills with children, staff, and parents. A proactive, organised, and nurturing individual who thrives in a team.
